Half-time Replay

I like cloning;
Cloning is fun.
I want a twin
Who will be my son.

I want to know
EXACTLY what he needs,
To be there at each step
When he falls and bleeds.

I want to control
Who he will be,
To shape him and mold him
Flawlessly.

I want to unmake
All the mistakes,
That my own father made
When he screwed up me.

Crazy Little Thing Called…

By: Caitlin Moloney

Sweet tea and sweet grass
smell it in the air
“you got a smile so bright,
you’re lightin’ up this place like a firefly’s ass”
that’s when I knew
thunderstorm brewing, me and you.

Your damn lovely summer green eyes
my legs stickin’ to the leather seats.
The twang in your voice
callused fingers on my skin
so long ago
but a powder keg then.

Bring me back to life
to them hot summer nights
lyin’ in your flatbed countin’ stars.
Firecracker mouth and hands like the devil
you sure knew how to use ’em.
Me too.

game, set, box of matches.
BOOM.

Pontoum

Pontoum

The sun has set

The sand grows cool

The tourists all packed their things

We sit enjoying the ocean breeze

The sun has set

But we still remain

We sit enjoying the ocean breeze

making a new memory.

But we still remain

Holding hands and watching clouds go by

Making a new memory

Night begins to fall

Holding hands and watching clouds go by

The stars begin to shine

Night begins to fall

This moment is mine.

For a Drum

By: Angela Fiorentino

For a drum

You have to make a sound

To strike, smack, vocalize

To drop, shake, roll

For a drum

You have to have an idea

A rhythm

Something jumping around in your head

Thriving on imagination

Pleading to be free

For a drum

You must show emotion

All of the different sounds coming together

Presenting thoughts, feelings, movement

Anger, dance, serenity

For a drum

You have to have a desire

A want to captivate others

A need to become the music

A love for the music
